4 reasons why you should love Polish cuisine
Many foreigners who try pierogi, bigos or pork chops appreciate Polish dishes. Unique flavors and unearthly smells make more and more Poles realize that our native dishes do not have to be less nutritious or tasty than those served abroad. We encourage you to explore the features of Polish cuisine. Tricity will also awaken your love for local dishes.
Healthy Polish cuisine
In the past, dishes originating from Poland were associated with dripping fat and meat. Today this is an outdated thesis because a lot has changed. Thanks to society’s growing awareness and access to healthy and natural products, we can tastefully eat dishes that will not cause digestive problems and will also be a nutritious meal. All the more so because more and more often, well-known dishes undergo various modifications to improve their quality. Great attention is also paid to limiting the consumption of meat, which is replaced with vegetarian or vegan dishes.
Polish cuisine combines perfectly with others
For many gourmets and fans of culinary experiments, the fact that our traditional dishes can be combined with flavors from other regions of Europe or even the world is very important. A good example in this case is the offer of our Goldwasser restaurant, where French cuisine is available, but also local cuisine. Gdańsk is the place where our restaurant is located and there we serve our signature dishes. An excellent culinary mixture that is most appreciated by our guests is golden grilled steak. The flexibility of our cuisine means that it can still surprise and delight the palates of an even wider audience. We have been creating our menu for many years, using the best of Polish and French cuisine.
Polish dishes go well with alcohol
The perfect combination of good and filling food with a local drink is something for which Polish cuisine is famous. Gdynia, Krakow, Poznań and many other cities throughout Poland offer just such a feast for the taste buds and senses. Many of our dishes are prepared in such a way as to bring out the best of traditional alcohol and at the same time emphasize the taste of the food. Polish tables offer many dishes that go well with alcohol, including: herring dishes, various dishes with vinegar, e.g. meat jelly, marinated mushrooms, baked pork loin or cold cuts. We especially recommend our own alcohol – Goldwasser, which is a real treat for all connoisseurs of spirits, as well as Kurfursten and Machandel.
